Find out what works on your skin.
The same perfume can smell beautiful on someone else and turn plastic, sour or soapy on you. ScentNotes learns how perfume behaves on your skin from your own wears, and shows you the patterns behind it: why your favourites work, and why others go wrong.

Why your favourites work
ScentNotes finds what the perfumes you love have in common, so you can find more like them on purpose instead of by luck.
"Vanilla is a common thread in the perfumes that work on you."
Why others go wrong
When a perfume turns on you, Diagnose compares that wear with your others and names the most likely cause, often a material that never appears in the notes.
"Iso E Super is fine on its own, but goes plastic with other synthetics."
Your own wears are the evidence.
Log what you smell
A quick check-in as a perfume dries down: lovely, fine, or plastic, sour, soapy, sharp. About 30 seconds.
See your patterns
As your record grows, ScentNotes connects notes and ingredients across everything you've worn, both what works and what doesn't.
Check before you buy
Look up any perfume and get its pre-screening result against your own record: skip it, sample it first, or go for it.

So you can do you. Confidently.
The beauty industry is very good at convincing us that we need to buy a certain product. It's much less interested in helping us understand which products actually work for us, and why.
My first career was nursing. It taught me how much it matters to know what's normal for you. The same is true of perfume. If a glamorous perfume doesn't work on you, there's nothing wrong with you. It just doesn't suit your body chemistry, your preferences, or both.
For me, it started with two all-time favourites that were both discontinued. What I learned while searching for replacements, about notes, ingredients and why some perfumes turned on my skin, is what became ScentNotes.
